Classy Weekend Recap

For such blog-worthy outfits this weekend, I'm disappointed that I didn't have enough time (or a photographer) to take nice pictures. (The shorter days don't help either.) This weekend's outfits were more summer appropriate, since the highs are now back in the 90s. What happened to fall?? Saturday's outfit was for Nick's birthday party. I had planned to dress up a bit more, but ended up going a bit more casual. One of my favorite tops to wear casually is peasant blouses. They're comfortable, but still make you look put together. Win-win!

Top: Hollister Co, sz M (Bad idea to size up)
Cami: Forever 21
Jeans: American Eagle Outfitters slim boot jeans (rolled up), sz 6 (these were from when they actually made normal jeans!)
Belt: American Eagle Outfitters
Shoes: Merona for Target

Next, was Sunday's outfit... which did not get the seal of approval from Nick. He kept telling me I looked like an Egyptian and a five year old. I beg to differ! Most of you already know that I'm obsessed with anything nautical, but my second obsession is definitely Grecian style dresses. Unfortunately, it's hard to find ones that don't make you look like you're on the way to a toga party. I've had this dress since I was a freshman in high school... but it's never really been worn until just recently. I think it's the perfect summery dress with just the right amount of Greek!

Dress: Mark. (Branch off from Avon)
Shoes: Gap (old)
The dress may need some accessorizing, maybe with a gold belt at the waist. And now that I look at it, it could either be Grecian style or Egyptian style. What do you all think?

  1. I love both outfits! I know peasant blouses are everywhere, but I can't seem to find any that are the right type (like this one). Any suggestions?
