Review: Clarisonic Mia skincare!

I've never been one to obsess over beauty products and skincare. (That has changed a bit though.) I usually used the same decent-quality products and makeup looks daily, and hardly even put a thought into skincare. Especially with the lack of skincare, my face was a mess with breakouts and extreme combination skin. I'd heard about the Clarisonic Mia as one of Sephora's raved about products, and decided to give it a try after quite a lot of positive reviews. (LENGTHY POST AHEAD!)

And... I must rave about this product too! After just using it once, my skin felt so smooth and absorbed moisturizer very quickly. My skin was AMAZING! I use it twice a day now, with a more thorough cleanse at night time. Makeup application is definitely smoother these days, and with my combination skin, my cheeks aren't too dry and my T-zone isn't too oily. It really does work wonders for your face!

I purchased mine in blue (there's a variety of colors), and this model is the first Clarisonic Mia, which only has one setting. I believe the Clarisonic Mia 2, which is a bit more expensive, has multiple settings. There is also a more advanced (but extremely pricey) model available.

At Sephora, there are different Clarisonic packages to choose from (different cleansers and lotions that come with the brush; prices vary), but I just bought the basic one with a small tube of their cleanser. Just for reference, I use Neutrogena's Grapefruit acne wash at night and Aveeno Positively Radiant brightening cleanser in the morning.

The only disadvantage I find is that I want to use it twice a day, but I find the brush to be a bit harsh for twice-daily use. There are different brushes with different "strengths", so I will probably look into that.

I've learned that skincare is a crucial part of your daily beauty routine, and just using soap and water once a day won't cut it if you want great skin (I used to be guilty of this!).
I definitely recommend this to everyone!

Has anyone tried the Clarisonic? How did you like it?
If you've noticed, I've been posting a lot of beauty reviews instead of outfit posts. I've just been so busy lately that outfit of the days are just at the bottom of my to-do list. :( That, and I've been wearing repeat outfits lately. I've lost a majority of my motivation for winter fashion these days. I'm ready for spring!!

Have a great week everyone. :)
