I took your advice from my weekend gingham post, and wore my gingham shirt to work! I decided to layer it over my Gap bell dress, using this method (Via Elle of Fast Food and Fast Fashion, and Jean of Extra Petite) and successfully wore it all day without issues. I love the idea of wearing a dress as skirt!

Dress: Gap (old)
Shirt: J. Crew Crewcuts boys, sz 14 (similar)
Belt: From another pair of shorts
Shoes: Ann Taylor Perfect Pumps
Minor adjustments are needed throughout the day when wearing a shirt like this, but otherwise, I think I prefer this instead of wearing button ups and pencil skirts. There's no need to worry about always keeping your blouse tucked in!
You look very polished! Well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable, Megan, and I never would have guessed it was a dress underneath! The pearls are a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteYou did such a stellar job of turning a dress into a skirt. I must try this!
