I am a huge fan of Lands' End and Lands' End Canvas for their classic and quality pieces. However, their sizing is very generous (misses sizing), so only every once in a while am I able to find something that fits. (Lands End Canvas offers a more tailored fit with preppier style).
This drapey blouse caught my eye in their Fall catalog, being styled with a long necklace and tucked into pants. I've been loving loose button up shirts that can be tucked halfway into pants for the weekend, yet still work tucked into pencil skirts or layered under sheath dresses for the office.
I'm wearing a size x-small, which is the smallest size they offer, but it feels like a regular size small from other brands. It's a bit blousey tucked into a pencil skirt (I didn't adjust myself right before these pics), but looks great with jeans (see below). Overall, I am very happy with this blouse and I'm considering buying another color, especially with the new sale price.
Skirt: Nordstrom (similar)
Blouse: Lands' End 3/4 sleeve drapey knit button front shirt, sz XS
Belt: Ann Taylor
Shoes: Ann Taylor Perfect Patent Pumps
Necklace: Ann Taylor (old)
Here it is worn with jeans-- the fit is better:
The material is 90% Lyocell (whatever that is) and 10% silk. It felt so soft to the touch right out of the packaging, and feels even softer after a wash. It's got the feel and movement of a silk blouse, without the hassle of caring for silk. (This one's gotta be washed on the gentle cycle though).
On an unrelated note-- I want to thank those of you who have come to me for personal styling advice! However, please excuse a slight delay in response time, as I am working with so many of you at once and want to really take the time to work with each and every one of you thoroughly. Don't hesitate to send me an email, though, if you're interested! :)
