Featured Blogger: Vodka Infused Lemonade

Better late than never, I suppose, but here is one of January's featured bloggers!

Hi, I'm Agi and I blog over at Vodka Infused Lemonade. Megan has been kind enough to let me guest post today. A bit of information about myself: I'm a mother to a 3.5 yr old boy. I have been married to my amazing husband for almost 8 years. I am a Labor & Delivery room nurse. I love fashion!!!! I believe that just because you are a mom doesn't mean you can't dress fashionably!!! I make cakes and cupcakes on the side: Agi's Creations. Below are pictures of me and my family and some my cake and cupcakes creations.

I started my blog last July as an outlet to share my stories of motherhood, parenthood, womenhood and to have some fun with fashion. I have enjoyed making new friends, getting inspired by other people's fashion and having fun.

Below are different ways of styling a graphic skirt. Graphic print is huge for Winter and will continue to be a big trend for Spring and Summer. Here are some fun ways of wearing a graphic skirt during Winter. Graphic skirts are so much fun because you can style it many ways. Add a polka dot top, or color in the shoes or cardigan. Wear it with a simple black turtleneck or add a pop of color with a cobalt blouse. They are so versatile and you will get lots of wear out of it.

Thank you Megan for allowing me to guest post on your blog today!!!

Thanks, Agi!

UPDATE: Due to time constraints and my current erratic blogging schedule, I will no longer be scheduling guest bloggers (until further notice). I've got myself so backed up on guest posts that it's not fair to you all to wait so long! I want to thank everyone who has posted on my blog, and wish you the best of luck on your blogging journey. I will be featuring one more blog to wrap up my featured blogger series within the next week or so.

Thanks, everyone!

Preppy Plaid and Jacquard

Skirt: Banana Republic Factory (In-store clearance find)
Shirt: J. Crew (sold out)
Blazer: J. Crew Schoolboy
Belt: From another skirt
Shoes: Brooks Brothers (Similar here and here)
Bag: Tory Burch
Sunglasses: Target

As much as I am looking forward to Spring, I'm trying to get as much wear out of my wintery plaids and textures before it's time to replace them with pastels and flowy fabrics.
Though, I am running out of Winter outfit ideas and inspiration, especially since Pinterest is now filled with everything Spring and Summer. I just can't wait! :)

Enjoy your week :)

Textures and Prints

Shirt: J. Crew Factory (try in store)
Sweater: Gap
Skirt: Banana Republic Factory (clearance find; try in store)
Tights: Target
Shoes: LOFT (via eBay)

Wearing OPI 'Color So Hot it Berns' and Anne Klein watch from Christmas

Sometimes you surprise yourself with different prints that end up matching perfectly. My first thought would not have been to pair polka dots with such a "flashy" skirt, but it worked! I'm excited to pair this shirt with different colors this spring and summer.

Speaking of Spring and Summer, I'm definitely getting tired of the cold weather (I never thought I'd say that) and I'm looking forward to Spring. Maybe I'm influenced by every store debuting their Spring collections in January... Sometimes I wish they didn't make the seasons go by so fast!

Have a great weekend :)

January 14, 2013

Sweater: J. Crew Tippi (pre-owned via eBay)
Blazer: J. Crew Schoolboy
Jeans: Gap Real Straight
Boots: J. Crew Booker
Necklace: Ann Taylor (old)
Bag: Tory Burch

Every time I wear these boots (especially at work), I get the same teasing remark-- "Are you off to go do some horseback riding?"

I unfortunately do not know how to ride a horse, but we can pretend that I'm part of some prestigious equestrian club. Why not? ;)

Sorry if all of my Winter outfits consist of either my schoolboy blazer or my booker boots. They are truly some of my most favorite pieces in my wardrobe, and the season to wear them isn't going to last forever.

Have a great week, everyone :)

I'm back from my week-long blogging hiatus with a recap of my ski trip from last weekend. My brothers, cousin, Nick, and a couple other friends headed up North to Flagstaff for some skiing (my first time ever). It had to be the most amazing weekend trip I've been on, and I already miss it. Time flies when you're having fun.

Above is the outfit I wore while sightseeing in Sedona (layering is key), and below are some pics from the rest of the trip!

The slopes.

Some of the boys.

I coordinated my ski outfit. I guess it's a fashion blogger thing. :)

Amazing views.

All of the boys!

Nick and I bundled up. (Jacket, H+M; Scarf, Target)

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years! :) I know I did!

Featured Blogger: Libby's (Out)look

Life has been so hectic for me lately that I completely forgot about scheduling our featured blogger for December! I know that New Year's has passed, but that doesn't mean its time to put away the glitter and sequins! Libby here has put together two ensembles (originally for NYE, but I goofed up there), that are still appropriate for the season and great for the last of the get-togethers for Winter!

Thanks for having me Megan! My name is Libby, and I blog over at Libby's (out)Look. I'm just a student trying to be fabulous on a tiny college budget. Megan asked me to put together a couple looks for New Year's Eve (can you believe it's almost 2013?!).
I'm going to focus on two popular options for celebrating the New Year: going out and staying in.

--Going Out--

shorts--Kohl's | tights--Target | pumps--Kohl's | tank--Old Navy

Whether you are going to a party, a concert, or just going out on the town with your girls, New Year's Eve is a time to celebrate while looking your best. For me, I went with these fantastic metallic shorts. Since they were such a standout piece, I kept the rest of the look simple with black tank, tights, pumps, and jacket. Shorts are a fun way to still look festive while deviating from the standard LBD.

--Staying In--

jeans--American Eagle | cardi--American Eagle | tank--Old Navy | boots--Belk

Maybe you've decided to stay in this New Year's Eve with friends and watch the ball drop, but that doesn't mean that you can't look festive. I love these waxed jeans, and they are just a little more special than your regular jeans.  Another special piece is this sequined cardi. You may not be going out on the town this New Year's, but I would still rock some special pieces to celebrate the start of another year!

Hope y'all enjoyed these suggestions for making this New Year's Eve your most fashionable and fantastic one yet! Feel free to come check out my blog anytime :) Thanks again, Megan!

Thanks for sharing, Libby! I hope you all can still take inspiration from this! Have a blessed 2013 everyone :)
