Haul: Prabal Gurung for Target

Since this post is quite overdue and many of the Prabal for Target items are sold out online (though they are still in stores!), I'm calling this post a "haul" instead of a "review"! I wasn't a huge fan of the line until I browsed their lookbook a couple times, and decided which items I would order to try. I waited up until after midnight on Feb 10 for them to release the items and placed my order right away! (I wasn't sure if this whole thing was going to be like Missoni for Target again!)

I purchased four items and LOVED every single piece. I haven't worn them out yet as its just too cold at the moment, but I beared the cold wind to take pics of what I bought. :)

Pleated Dress, sz 2(Excuse my paleness! Summertime is calling my name...)

And with all three outfits, I am wearing the Ankle Strap Pump in Apple Red. I bought a size 8, but found that I could've used a 7.5. I'm going to try those ball-of-foot pads to see if that makes it better!

I'm excited to style all of these for Spring! If you bought any of these as well, how are you wearing them?
Have a great weekend!

Dress: Vintage Saks 5th Ave
Shoes: Steven by Steve Madden (Selling out like crazy!)
Bag: Random makeup bag used as a clutch
Sunglasses: Target

This is ten days late, but this is what I wore to work on Valentine's day! The whole office was asked to dress up in our best... so of course, I decided to go all-out. This dress was actually my mom's dress from 1987-- She bought it almost 30 years ago from Saks! I thought it would be a little too extravagant/out of style for me, but I actually love it. And where's the fun when there's no extravagance? ;)

The dress fit me perfectly. I feel like it was meant to be. You bet I'll be keeping this dress for years to come!

Also-- Don't these shoes just shout "Valentino"? I couldn't believe they're from Steve Madden. They were a lovely birthday gift from my parents!

Have a great week, everyone :)

Tutorial: Top Knot/Sock Bun

After posting this outfit on Instagram, I've received a few inquiries on how I do my high bun. We all know that a high bun is a fashion blogger staple, and I'm thankful to have finally mastered it after years of failure (which was good practice I suppose). I hope my picture tutorial is easy to follow!

Snow Day

Shirt: Lands End (old)
Pants: Target (Similar)
Scarf: Dorothy Perkins c/o
Trench: J. Crew Factory (Fairly recent, may still be in stores)
Boots: J. Crew Booker
Bag: Tory Burch

This Winter has been so erratic weather-wise, from hitting the mid-70s with sun to 50 degrees with snow. I'm ready for spring already! We all woke up to an unexpected snow day today, but since the snow melts before noon, there was no need for my lovely Winter wear (booooo, I could have gotten a couple more uses out of 'em!). I went for my trusty boots and a trench instead. It fared well.

On an unrelated note-- I need help finding a chambray shirt (note: the shirt above is a linen shirt). A classic, button down chambray shirt with one (or zero) pockets in a medium chambray wash. Like the one Old Navy had a while back, that sold out so fast I couldn't snag one. Help, dear readers!

Have a wonderful rest of the week! :)

Featured Blogger: Along the Lines of Style

And the last blogger of my featured blogger series is Whitney from Along the Lines of Style! (I'm loving the stripes!)
--------------------------------

Hello Long Live Classy readers! A big thanks to Megan for letting me join in on the fun on her corner of the internet!

I’m Whitney and I write Along the Lines of Style, which is a little blog where I document my experiences as a young teacher trying to balance professionalism and personal style in the classroom. One major part of my journey in the sartorial realm has been determining a budget and learning to mix and match items in my own closet. I’m actually going through a shopping hiatus for 2013, so this has been really important so far this year!

My favorite closet staples are my navy and white striped tops! I can’t get enough of them! Here are just a few ways I’ve worn them on my blog:

Breton Stripes

I’m sure you can expect to see them as regulars on my blog this year.

Thanks again, Megan!

XO,

W

--------------------------------

And that's a wrap! Thank you to all my featured bloggers from the past year. Due to new time constraints and an erratic blogging schedule, I will no longer be featuring bloggers on Long Live Classy.

Have a great week everyone, and look out for my topknot/sock bun tutorial coming up soon! :)

Blazer: J. Crew Schoolboy

Shoes: Jack Rogers
Sunglasses/Watch: Ray-Ban; Fossil

Even though we just hit February, I just cannot wait to start wearing all the Spring colors and trends. Especially mint jeans, which are making a comeback again this year. I'm not complaining though. :)

I'm not sure how I feel about the cropped-pants-and-booties thing. Looking at these pics, I'm not sure if they make my legs look... weird? What do you think?

Have a nice weekend!
