Dress: eShakti C/O
Shoes: Seychelles
Clutch: Ann Taylor (Similar)
Necklace: Forever 21

Spring has sprung and I couldn't be happier! It's finally time to put the sundresses and shorts to good use. For Easter Sunday, Nick and I went on a picnic to enjoy the warmth and sunshine. Obviously, it was the perfect occasion for this retro summery dress, c/o eShakti.

If you haven't heard of eShakti before, you need to check them out! They offer custom tailored/sized clothing for all sizes. The only thing I customized on this dress was the length (I had it made to hit right above the knee), but you can have the option to shorten/lengthen the hem, add sleeves, change the neckline, (and more) to their variety of high-quality pieces. I'm eyeing a couple of their skirts to try next....

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and will enjoy the rest of the week! I will be back with updates from the Closet Remix Challenge (Only about 10 more days left!).

Closet Remix Challenge Week 1-2 Recap

I want to first start off by apologizing for my slow blogging schedule and lack of posts as of late. I have been crazy busy and exhausted these past few months that blogging has been moved to the bottom of my list.

I wish it wasn't so.

Blogging is one of my favorite things to do, and being pulled away from it is one of the worst feelings. Work has been killing me lately and I've just been dealing with this overall discontent with my life at the moment, which affects everything. I've been mentally exhausted and worn down from this past year, trying to make some changes and figuring out what I'm doing with my life. I've had few successes and many failures. I guess that's what life is all about! It is my dream to spend more time blogging (maybe even "professionally") and work in/manage something in the field of fashion. I haven't even gotten close to achieving those goals, but I'll work my hardest to get where I want. Prayers would be appreciated...

Enough of the ranting. Now on to the recap of my Closet Remix Challenge outfits from days 1-13! Just in case you missed it, the closet remix challenge is a self-imposed 30 day shopping ban where you are "forced" to work with the clothes already in your closet and not repeat any outfits. It's a great way to save money and really work with what you already have (and what you haven't worn in a while!).

Unfortunately, I haven't had time to take full outfit photos from each day (I've got a few of them below), but I have been posting the outfit combinations on my Instagram every day! So I will post those as well. If you are interested in seeing what I put together day by day, please follow me on my Instagram to stay up-to-date!

I can't believe I haven't even hit the halfway mark yet. Haha! I sometimes feel the urge to go shopping, but otherwise I've been doing fine (I sound like an addict, I know). I'm enjoying the fatter wallet and "shopping" my own closet to re-wear some old forgotten pieces. :-)

Thank you for listening to my rants and for being loyal followers! I hope you will come back as I try to blog more often. Love you guys!! Have a great weekend!

Print Mixing + Closet Remix Challenge

Dress: Crewcuts for J. Crew, sz 14 (Thanks to Vicky for the suggestion!) (Similar)
Shirt: J. Crew Factory
Boots: J. Crew
Necklace: Target (clearance find)
(Can you tell that J. Crew is one of my fave stores? Ha!)

This year, I am determined to be a bit more "adventurous" with my wardrobe and mix different prints and colors, especially during the Summer! I feel as if fashion blogging has boosted my confidence with what I wear and I am no longer too shy to try something new. :)

And as for trying something new-- In an effort to curb my spending and reach my savings goal this year, I will be starting the Closet Remix Challenge (Credit for the idea goes to @MrsStrock on Instagram)! With this challenge, you put yourself on a shopping ban for 30 days and "shop" your own closet by remixing what you already have. I'm both excited and a bit nervous to start this, because I am quite the shopaholic (I am a bit ashamed to admit that) and it's going to take a lot of self-control. I just know that my wallet will thank me though!

I will be documenting every outfit from every day of the challenge on my Instagram (@longliveclassy). I will post my outfits on here, but it will be every few days and each post will consist of multiple outfits from the week. :)
I invite you to try the Closet Remix challenge yourself! Let me know if you're going to take the plunge and join me!

Have a happy Monday and a great week!

Skirt: The Webster for Target (similar)
Shirt: J. Crew via Threadflip
Shoes: Seychelles
Necklace: Forever 21

My favorite kind of weather is sunny in the mid-70s, which is what we were finally blessed with this weekend after weeks of Winter weather. Unfortunately, the high winds ruined a bit of the experience.

I'm just happy I was finally able to pull out my wedges and flouncy skirts!

Enjoy the rest of the week :)
